Kevin (bottom right of picture) and his family attended a recent Vernon city counsel meeting where Dr. Gordon Lovegrove presented on the viability of a passenger rail train connecting the Okanagan area. After the presentation, Kevin hosted Dr. Lovegrove and a small group for dinner and further discussion of the concept.
Kevin was recently elected President of the Turning Points Collaborative board. Turning Points Collaborative provides housing and addiction recovery services throughout the Vernon area. Congratulations Kevin!
At Robertson Injury Law we are committed to continuing education. Dianna and Claire attended the annual Trial Lawyer Association of BC's Women in Law Retreat. This year’s theme was “Leading the Way”. Dianna and Claire heard from amazing speakers and leaders including the Honourable Mobina Jaffer, BC Senator and Margaret Mereigh from the Canadian Bar Association. Consistent with our commitment to going paperless, they learned about effectively using technology to run an “E-trial”.
Dianna and Kevin attended the recent Spinal Cord Injury BC annual general meeting. Kevin's son (pictured above) had a chance to try out an off road hand cycle.
At the meeting Dianna was elected on to the board for the coming year. Congratulations Dianna!

Dianna Robertson spent the afternoon today at the Disability Resource Network of BC Conference, along with her colleague and friend Graham Hardy. Dianna starred in a video that was shown at the conference, highlighting Graham's journey into the legal profession. There was also a very interesting and inspiring panel discussion which included Graham and several other individuals who have faced (and overcome) challenges in entering into the workforce.
